July 2026
Dear Son’Spot Family,
Praise the Lord! God is in the life changing business. It is our privilege to witness His works each day. In 1 Corinthians 3:7, the Bible says, “The one who plants and the one who waters really do not matter. It is God who matters, because He makes the plant grow, He gives the increase.” At each outreach meal there are 150 to 250 student workers from dozens of different countries. Many have received from the Lord through Bible teaching, fellowship, worship, food outreach, and boardwalk outreach. Several have invited Jesus into their heart. Praise the Lord! We give God all the glory. This is our 46th year of ministry, one soul at a time.
We gather everyday (except Wednesday) at 10am for sharing the Word and prayer, then complete work projects, and at 5pm go on the boardwalk for outreach ministry. We gather again at 8pm for Bible, prayer, worship, and fellowship. (Tuesdays are English Club Nights). Additionally, the food outreach ministry includes dinner on Thursdays at 5:30pm, and breakfast on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 7:30am. Each week we also deliver food bags to area homes. We meet on Sunday mornings from 10am to noon. You can listen to some of the worship nights and the Sunday meetings at SonSpot.org .
The reason for the food ministry and everything else is to lift up the name of Jesus (John 12:32) and our desire is for God to move and minister as HE desires. Zechariah 4:6 says, “Not by might, not by power, but by My Spirit says the Lord”.
Good News Reports From Visiting Ministry Teams
“I am grateful for the opportunity to serve the Lord beside you again this week. It’s a blessing to serve the community of international students in practical and spiritual ways. God reminded me this week of the importance of hearing and doing His Word in a fresh way. Your teaching reinforced the simplicity and clarity of God’s Word on primary Christian doctrine and actions to carryout His commands. The example of the entire team reinforced the command of Jesus to love one another and to love the lost. I learned that to tell someone the Gospel helps me to understand it’s impact on my life better. I felt God working through my testimony and conversations on the boardwalk. I especially enjoyed talking to young men who are just starting out their adult life. Three young men I talked with about building their life on the rock of Jesus’ words promised to read their Bibles. Thank you for all you and the volunteers do for the community at The Son”Spot!”
“I met a young lady from Kazakhstan who believed that there is a God, but not sure which one is correct. I encouraged her to read the Bible first and ask God to reveal Himself to her and to lead her to the truth. I told her how Jesus changed my life and that He wants to change her life also.”
“God allowed me to share the Gospel with a young man from Romania as we sat together after the evening meal. He wanted to read the Bible before he would make a commitment. I shared that the book of John was a good place to start, and specifically John 3:16 as why we need to decide because of what Jesus did for us.”
“God showed me that through the power of the Holy Spirit to dig deeper into scripture, to be more disciplined in my time in God’s Word on a daily basis.”
“I’ve been able to encourage a few people during the meals as I cleaned tables. It’s been kind of challenging but I do believe God is helping me on that and is using me to encourage others.”
“God used me in the lives of others this week through writing messages from the Lord on many of the plates at breakfast, talking and praying with people on the boardwalk, and helping lead worship at night.”
“I got a glimpse of what God can do with a young life that is awakened to His presence, purpose, and fellowship.”
“One way God has worked in me this week is encouraging me through many Bible verses that others have shared. He has also taught me to rely more on Him!”
“Jesus used me to share the Gospel and pray over people on the boardwalk, and sharing the Gospel at breakfast and dinner. Also in leading worship at nights.”
“God has shown me His consistent presence in my life. He taught me to trust Him whenever and wherever. He helped me to meet nice people. He leads me through this big and sometimes scary adventure for me in the USA, but with God it is calmer. I’m glad that He led me here in this place.”
“With the experience of distributing tracts on the boardwalk and with the carrying of the cross, I felt the rush of emotion that Jesus would have received from the hecklers as He carried the cross. I felt the denial of others for the receiving of His Word and His love. Outside the doors of Son’Spot I hear and see the fallen. God has truly planted a seed where His living waters will flow. I have seen the mission field.”
“It was so refreshing to come and experience Son’Spot this past week. My purpose for joining Son’Spot in June was to gather information to prepare my missionary group to serve in August, but what the Lord showed me was so much greater! I was so inspired by the well-oiled machine you have created at the Son’Spot. Inspiration from the Holy Spirit and living your lives in the Spirit, following Jesus’ two greatest commandments, daily attention to detail, and a striving toward excellence as though Jesus would be your next guest walking through the door was the standard. It made me very emotional to see you warmly welcome each “stranger” off the street, whether it be an international student who just arrived in America or the homeless fellow who is a regular. I was so amazed by the warm hearted and diligent staff who served heartily unto the Lord each day. Some of the additional encouragement I derived from my visit was as follows: Galatians 5:25, If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit! Nourish ourself in scriptures daily and meditation on the Word will bring me success! Psalm 119:11, Hide your word in my heart so I may not sin against you! 1 Cor 13:2, Without love I am nothing! Thank God that I have the mind of Christ! Love begins when we show up and sacrifice for others! Be flexible in uncomfortable! To set my affections on things above and not the things of the earth (Col 3:2)! ‘I want to be your joy and you be my joy!’ Be a doer or the word, not just a hearer! Col 3:23, Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters! Romans 12:9-10, Love in Action, Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. Romans 12:15, Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. Ephesians 4:29, Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. Thank you so much for expanding my worldview in the areas of love for others, passionate evangelism, and serving the Lord with genuine passion and asking for nothing in return! I am already counting down the days until our team visits!”
Thank You
We invite you to visit our web site at SonSpot.org for history, pictures, audio recordings, donations, and more. There are a lot of expenses in the summer and we greatly appreciate your financial and prayerful support of what God is doing here in Ocean City. We give Him all the glory! We pray for the substance of God, His anointing, presence, and Word in your life. A reminder that Jesus At The Beach Music & Ministry Festival is July 27-29, 2026. JesusAtTheBeach.org
