Visiting Groups

We are looking forward to your upcoming time at The Son’Spot, and we’re truly grateful for your willingness to come and serve. Our heart is to create a space where you can grow in faith, build meaningful relationships, and be part of what God is doing through outreach, fellowship, and daily life together.

Below you will find a detailed overview of our weekly rhythm, responsibilities, and living arrangements. This schedule is designed to balance ministry, community, and personal time. As you read through, we hope it helps you prepare both practically and spiritually for your visit. We are excited to have you join us and are praying that your time with us will be impactful, refreshing, and filled with God’s presence.

On Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, we start cooking at 6 am for the outreach breakfasts. We clean up around 9 am and have a Bible & fellowship meeting at 10 am. Some days we have a work project after the meeting. There would be time in the afternoons available for you to do whatever you want, ministry, rest, or fun. Also on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays we have evening outreach on the boardwalk at 5pm until about 6:15pm, so there is time for you to eat before the 8pm meeting. At 8pm we have Bible, fellowship, and worship for a time, usually not past 10pm because 6am breakfast preparation comes early. We have a 10 pm curfew to be inside. You can make it earlier if you want. On Wednesdays, we are closed, and generally do not have any work planned. We start Thursday at 10 am and meet for about an hour, and then start the evening meal preparation. The prep will last for several hours, cooking noodles, sauce, bread, etc, for 100-200 people. At 3:30 pm we pass out dinner information cards. We all eat at 4:30 pm so that we will be ready to serve the guests by 5:30 pm. After the meal, we clean up, and then near 8 pm we have Bible, fellowship, and worship for a time. The reason we do the food is to lift up Jesus to the guests. During the meals, there are opportunities to share, etc., depending on how many workers we have. Our desire at every meeting is to invite the Holy Spirit to manifest however He wants. To God be the glory.

You will stay upstairs at The Son’Spot. There are no fees between us. Your only expense would be for travel, and your food, other than the four breakfasts, and Thursday dinner. We have frozen beef, chicken, and hot dogs, if that helps with your meals.

Eighteen is how many people can sleep in a bed, sofa, and bench. Bedroom A has a queen bed; Bedroom B has a bunk bed with a single on top and a double on the bottom; Bedroom C has two bunk beds, each with a single on top and a double on the bottom. So with someone in each of these spots, that is eleven. Then the big living room has 5 benches with comfortable cushions, and a sofa that folds out into a queen. So that would be seven more spaces for a total of eighteen. Remember to bring sheets (or sleeping bag) and pillow cases, and towels and wash clothes. The beds have a bed pad, blanket, and pillows. There is a kitchen, two bathrooms, a washer and dryer in your area.

Let us know if you have any questions or concerns.

We pray for God’s anointing and provision for this mission trip. We look forward to welcoming you soon.
